Rameshwar Singh was born on 5th February 1946 at Deogarh in Rajasthan. He received his bachelor’s degree in Science from Bhilwara in 1971, and Master’s in Drawing & Paintings from Udaipur University, in 1982. He was a freelance artist and did more than 100 solo shows and exhibitions of his paintings at Jaipur, Udaipur, New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Varanasi, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Chennai and in many cities of India. He did a solo in Amsterdam also, in 2001. He participated in group shows and art camps with major national and international level exhibitions. He received many awards including National Award in 1984 LKA, New Delhi, First Indian Drawing Biennial, Chandigarh in 1992, Bombay Art Society, Mumbai in 1987, U.P. State Lilit Kala Akademi, Lucknow in 1984, Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi, Jaipur in 1985, Research Scholarship from LKA, New Delhi in 1986, All India Biennial of Rajasthan, Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi, Jaipur in 1997, 10th Triennial-India Internal Workshop at Chennai by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 2001.
His paintings are very compact; there’s a lot in them: figures, forms, and mythological content. Very colorful too. The forms are carefully constructed; there”s craftsmanship in his work, and skill. Sort of magic mantras and omens appear mysteriously in Rameshwar’s paintings.

His paintings are very colourful. I have few of his works at my home, which add beauty to my drawing room. These paintings are great attraction to the guests. Their eyes automatically stay for few minutes to the paintings, they admire the works and I love it.
